An
Eastern delight, this version has applesauce, brown sugar, and eggs.
Unbaked
9" pie shell |

c brown sugar, packed |
1
c applesauce |
4
eggs |
3
T fresh lemon juice |
2
T butter, melted |
1
t lemon zest |
1
t salt |
Combine
all ingredients and pour into pie shell. Bake at 450°F for 15
minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F and continue baking 15 minutes,
or until just set. Cool.
