A simple chocolate cake recipe that's good with a simple powdered sugar dusting before serving.
Moist Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
Procedure
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8" square cake pan. Lay parchment circle on bottom and grease again, dusting with flour after.
- In mixing bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients together. Stir to combine, then add egg and butter, mixing well.
- Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until cake tests done. Dust with powdered sugar when cooled.
